MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT FOR CHRONIC ILLNESS

Living with a chronic illness can impact every part of your life, including your body, mind, relationships, and sense of identity. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

From the perspective of someone who understands what it's like to live with a chronic illness, I'm here to offer a supportive space where your experience is seen, heard, and respected. Whether you're facing a new diagnosis, adjusting to ongoing health challenges, or managing the emotional toll of daily symptoms, therapy can help you reconnect with meaning, self-compassion, and resilience.

Together, we’ll explore how to live more fully, even in the presence of pain or uncertainty.

I offer individual therapy for adults (18+) who are living with chronic illness or complex health concerns. Some common issues I support clients with include:

  • Emotional overwhelm or burnout related to illness

  • Navigating identity and life transitions after diagnosis

  • Medical trauma or difficult healthcare experiences

  • Anxiety, depression, or grief

  • Coping with pain, fatigue, and lifestyle limitations

  • Finding meaning, values, and motivation

I would like to acknowledge that I am gratefully living and working on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).
